Come to help bring to life a new mural honoring Jimmy Banks, Milwaukee-born soccer player and coach who played for the 1990 World Cup on the Men's US National Soccer Team. We had several community design workshops where friends, family, and colleagues of Jimmy gathered to share ideas about Jimmy's efforts. Their perspectives and feelings about who Jimmy was as a person, his accomplishments, and way he served the local community, were used to draw inspiration from for the design. Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 1PM - 2PM Silver Spring Neighborhood Center (Meeting Room) 5460 N. 54th St, Milwaukee, WI 53204 Join us to see the new mural design that will be installed on Jimmy Banks Memorial Stadium, and to learn more about his work and what he offered to Milwaukee's soccer community. The design was inspired by three community design workshops led by Tia Richardson.
